On behalf of the International Literacy Association (ILA), the National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME), and Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), Korein Tillery filed an amicus curiae brief in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in support of litigation aimed at providing Detroit public school children with “access to the most basic building block of education: literacy."
