David Walchak

David Walchak is a partner in Korein Tillery’s Chicago office. David’s recent antitrust matters include Twomey v. Ace Hardware Corporation, 26-cv-5320 (N.D. Il.), In re Apple Inc. iPhone Antitrust Litigation, 24-md-3113 (D.N.J.), and In re Google Play Store Antitrust Litigation, 21-md-2981 (N.D. Cal.). In the Ace Hardware litigation, David leads Korein Tillery’s representation, with co-counsel, of a putative consumer class alleging price fixing and market allocation among stores in the Ace Hardware retail cooperative. In the Apple litigation, Korein Tillery is co-lead counsel representing a putative class of consumers challenging Apple’s anticompetitive conduct in smartwatch markets.  The Google Play Store litigation, which involved antitrust claims on behalf of consumers challenging Google’s conduct in markets for app distribution and in-app payment processing, settled for $700 million. In 2026, David was included in Legal 500’s list of Chicago Elite Antitrust lawyers.

In addition to representing plaintiffs in antitrust litigation, David represents states and municipalities in consumer protection litigation. David currently leads Korein Tillery’s work on behalf of a state attorney general and a large city in two separate consumer protection matters.

Before joining Korein Tillery, David worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Susan L. Carney on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Roslynn R. Mauskopf on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 2018 and his B.A. from Amherst College in 2015. David has published law review articles on antitrust law and on legal ethics in criminal representation. He lives in Chicago with his wife and children.
