David Walchak

David Walchak is a partner in Korein Tillery’s Chicago office. David represents plaintiffs in antitrust litigation as well as states and municipalities in consumer protection litigation. David’s recent antitrust matters include In re Google Play Store Antitrust Litigation, 21-md-2981 (N.D. Cal.) and In re Apple Inc. iPhone Antitrust Litigation, 24-md-3113 (D.N.J.). The Google Play Store litigation brought antitrust claims on behalf of consumers challenging Google’s conduct in markets for app distribution and in-app payment processing on Android mobile devices. A $700 million settlement of those claims is pending final approval. In the Apple litigation, Korein Tillery is co-lead counsel representing a putative class of consumers challenging Apple’s anticompetitive conduct in smartwatch markets.

Before joining Korein Tillery, David worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Susan L. Carney on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Roslynn R. Mauskopf on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 2018 and his B.A. from Amherst College in 2015. David has published law review articles on antitrust law and on legal ethics in criminal representation. He lives in Chicago with his wife and children.
