
Andrew Ellis

Andrew M. Ellis is a partner at the firm. Andrew focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts. He has experience representing clients in disputes related to antitrust, securities litigation, shareholder disputes, residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) litigation, white collar criminal matters, and internal investigations involving allegations of fraud.

At Korein Tillery, Andrew has concentrated his practice on high-stakes antitrust matters and lawsuits involving digital platforms, including In re Google Digital Advertising Antitrust Litigation, No. 21-md-3010 (S.D.N.Y.) and Schneider et al v. YouTube, LLC, et al., No. 20-cv-04423 (N.D. Cal.). He has also played a key role in major sports antitrust litigation, such as Fontenot et al. v. NCAA et al., No. 1:23-cv-03076 (D. Colo.), and presented oral argument at the final settlement approval hearing in In re College Athlete NIL Litigation, No. 20-cv-03919 (N.D. Cal.). He also represents a union health benefits fund in an antitrust lawsuit against the two largest dialysis providers in the United States. United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1776 and Participating Employers Health and Welfare Fund v. DaVita Inc. et al., No. 1:25-cv-01478 (D. Colo.).
Before joining Korein Tillery, Andrew practiced law for over five years at a major international law firm. His experience includes briefing and arguing a successful appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in a federal tax fraud case. United States v. Saleem Hakim, No. 19-11970 (11th Cir.). He was also a key member of the team representing the City of Minneapolis in investigations into potential unconstitutional or unlawful policing practices by the Minneapolis Police Department following the death of George Floyd. In addition, Andrew was part of a trial team that secured a favorable outcome in a high-stakes appraisal action in which petitioners claimed the acquired company was undervalued by $5 billion. Andrew received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. While in law school, he was an Article Editor for the Harvard Law and Policy Review.

Andrew was born and raised in St. Joseph, Missouri, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri. Prior to law school, Andrew spent a year as an analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He is an avid fan of Mizzou football and the Kansas City Chiefs. He currently resides in St. Louis, Missouri, with his wife, Lindsay, and daughters, Lucy and Caroline.
