Michael Klenov

Michael E. Klenov joined Korein Tillery's St. Louis office in the Fall of 2009 after spending the previous two summers at a major national defense firm.

Mr. Klenov received his B.A. in Economics and International Studies from Northwestern University (2005). While completing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Klenov spent a year studying economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (2004).

Subsequently, Mr. Klenov attended the Washington University School of Law where he received a Scholar-in-Law scholarship. He graduated Magna Cum Laude, Order of the Coif in May of 2009. While in law school, Mr. Klenov served as a Senior Editor of the Washington University Law Review, where he also published his Note: Preemption and Removal: Watson Shuts the Federal Officer Backdoor to the Federal Courthouse, Conceals Familiar Motive, 86 WASH. U. L. REV. 1455 (2009).

Mr. Klenov concentrated his law school curriculum on all aspects of civil litigation. He received several CALI awards - notably in Conflict of Laws and Complex Civil Litigation - as well as the Charles Wendell Carnahan Prize. He successfully participated in numerous student competitions, including Moot Court, Negotiation, and Client Counseling. During his third year of law school, Mr. Klenov clerked for the Honorable David R. Herndon, United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.
